About Us
Alignment Advisory Group is built on more than 30 years of combined experience inside the nonprofit sector. We've served in local churches, international mission organizations, and a regional foundation supporting community development. That experience shapes how we advise. We understand the pressure of stretched budgets, small teams, and the need for clear information to make good decisions.
We started Alignment Advisory Group to bring that same clarity to other mission-driven organizations. Our approach is practical. We work directly with executive teams to strengthen leadership, structure, and strategy so your organization can operate with confidence.
Meet the Team
Amy Cenea
Co-founder
Amy brings two decades of nonprofit leadership, with deep experience in donor stewardship, cross-cultural team effectiveness, and organizational systems. She has directed donor strategy for portfolios, managed multi-million dollar budgets, and led communications and reporting across teams spanning multiple countries.
Her background includes church ministry leadership, international missions work, and grant administration. That experience gives her firsthand understanding of what nonprofit leaders are up against.
Amy holds an MBA in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from Liberty University. At Alignment Advisory Group, she partners with clients on donor and data systems, cross-cultural team effectiveness, and the organizational structure work that helps mission-driven teams operate with clarity.
Ruben Cenea
Co-founder
Ruben brings a distinct blend of pastoral leadership, crisis response, and organizational management. He has led community development work across the Caribbean, directed disaster response teams, and managed staff and budgets for programs serving entire communities.
His background spans church leadership, nonprofit program direction, and military service, giving him a grounded understanding of how teams function under pressure and how culture holds together, or breaks down, during change. He has built processes and worked directly with local leaders to strengthen the organizations they serve.
Ruben holds a Master's in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. Fluent in French, English, and Haitian Creole, he brings firsthand cross-cultural experience to his work. At Alignment Advisory Group, he partners with clients on change management, workplace culture, and team debrief and support, helping leaders navigate transitions with clarity and care.
